During your lifetime you will experience loss. Simply put, it’s part of life. It is normal for loss to create feelings of sadness and grief. Research attests to the healing nature of time, but time does not always heal. When the loss is over-powering and life is now just too difficult to endure, depression can become the response to the situation and it can overcome the normal healing process. Depression is different than sadness and grief and it can affect anyone, but it is treatable and with the right guidance, self-help and coping can be learned, with a great majority of people becoming able to overcome it.
